FARHADS STADE is a graduate of the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music with Prof. Imants Kokars and the Lithuanian Academy of Music with Prof. Juozas Domarkas. He has improved his professional skills with Tadeusz Voicehowsky and Prof. Yuri Simonov.
He began his work at the Latvian National Opera as the Assistant to the Chief Conductor, Aleksandrs Viļumanis (1995–1996). Since 1996, he has been the conductor at the LNO, conducting numerous ballets, including The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Anna Karenina, Tchaikovsky, Giselle, Le Corsaire, Don Quixote, La Bayadere, Coppélia and many more, as well as operas The Prodigal Son, Fire and Night, Carmen, Salome, Norma, Tosca, Turandot, La Bohème, La traviata.
He is the guest conductor on regular basis with the Vidzeme Chamber Orchestra and has recorded a chamber music programme in 2000. From 1989 to 2000, Farhads Stade was the artistic director and conductor of the Youth Chamber Choir Pali recording three CDs with them: Acquaintance (music by Mārtiņš Brauns, 1994), musical by Raimonds Pauls The Wild Swans (1996), and music by Mārtiņš Brauns to the theatre piece River Daugava (1999).
