Mezzo-soprano

LAURA GRECKA has been a soloist at the Latvian National Opera since 2010. She obtained her master’s degree in vocal performance from the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music (2009) under the guidance of Associate Professor Lilija Greidāne and from the Maastricht Conservatory (2013) under Professor Axel Everaert.

The singer made her debut at the Latvian National Opera as Fenena in Verdi’s Nabucco, followed by roles such as Suzuki (Madama Butterfly by Puccini), Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro by Mozart), Olga (Eugene Onegin by Tchaikovsky), Siébel (Faust by Gounod), Mercédès (Carmen by Bizet), Flora (La Traviata by Verdi), The Poet (The Immured by Ešenvalds), Mother Marie (Dialogues des Carmélites by Poulenc), Polina (The Queen of Spades by Tchaikovsky), Tisbe (La Cenerentola by Rossini), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni by Mozart), Valencienne (The Merry Widow by Lehár), Muse/Nicklausse (The Tales of Hoffmann by Offenbach), among others.

She has performed with the Vidzeme Chamber Orchestra, Sinfonietta Rīga, and the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra and has participated in the Kremerata Baltica Festival, the International Sacred Music Festival, the Early Music Festival, and others.

She has given concerts in Lithuania, Estonia, Norway, Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands, where in 2012, she performed Mahler’s song cycle Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.

In 2024, she made her debut at Teatro Colón in Argentina as The Composer in Richard Strauss’s opera Ariadne auf Naxos.
