LAURA GRECKA graduated from the Jāzeps Mediņš Riga Music High School, class of Kārlis Saržants, in 2005, and the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, class of Prof.Lilija Greidāne, in 2009. She received her Master degree in the Maastricht Academy of Music, class of prof. Axel Everaert, in 2013.
Laura Grecka made her debut at the Latvian National Opera in the role of Fenena (Verdi’s Nabucco), in 2010. At the LNO her repertoire includes also such roles as Cherubino (Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro), Ines (Verdi’s Il Trovatore), Smeraldina and Nicoletta (Prokofiev’s The Love for Three Oranges), The Mistress of the Novices (Puccini’s Suor Angelica), Suzuki (Puccini’s Madama Butterfly) a.o. During her studies Laura Grecka participated in the productions of the opera Studio Figaro under Prof.Viesturs Gailis.
Laura Grecka sang with the Vidzeme’s Chamber Orchestra, Sinfonietta Riga, and Latvian National Symphony Orchestra. She has participated in the Festival of Kremerata Baltica, Sacred Music Festival, Early Music Festivala.o. She has sung in Norway, Belgium, Germany, and Netherlands. Laura Grecka sang Mahler’s Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen in the Concertgebouw , in 2012.
Her repertoire includes arias from the early music to verism s well as chamber music by Latvian, Russian, German, and French composers, and contemporary music, for example, Diāna in Anitra Tumševica's chamber opera Red.
