This concert will be dedicated to passion and drama, the “daily bread” of every opera stage. The programme includes phantasies about the themes of Carmen and Rigoletto, written by Bornes and Doppler and in
some way reflecting the actual repertoire of the LNO. Alongside with these romantics, audience will meet the great bel canto master Donizetti in his chamber music, the keen seeker of new ways in the 20th century’s music Luciano Berio in his songs, as well as Rossini, De Falla, and Ravel, all three inspired by Spanish passions. Finally, the planned common heartbeat rythm is the one of Piazzolla’s Maria de Buenos Aires.
