In 2021 Nana Dzidziguri made her debut as SIEGRUNE in “Die Walküre” at the Bayreuther Festspielen and was re-engaged for 2022.
In 2022/2023 she sings SCHWERTLEITE in “Die Walküre” at the Opera House Zürich and SIEGRUNE at the Oldenburg State Theatre. She portrays ULRICA in “un Ballo in maschera” at the Opera Bonn and returns as CARMEN to the Prague State Opera.
MADDALENA in “Rigoletto” at the Glyndebourne Festival was cancelled. In summer 2023 she portrays CARMEN at the Tbilisi National Opera and in autumn 2023 she can be seen here as DALIA in “Samson et Dalila”.
Lately, she portrayed ALDONZA in „Man of La Mancha“ and the OLD LADY in „Candide“ at the Münster Theatre, FENENA in “Nabucco” at the Tbilisi National Opera and succeeded as CARMEN in a new production at the Prague National Opera.
Nana studied opera singing at the State Conservatory V. Sarajishvili in Tbilisi. During her studies, she made her debut at the Batumi State Opera as CARMEN and FENENA in “Nabucco”. At the Opera Studio of the Tiflis Music Conservatory she elaborated o.a. OLGA in „Eugen Onegin“, MARZELLINE in „Le nozze di Figaro“, the THIRD DAME in „Die Zauberflöte“ and LYUBASHA in Rimsky-Korsakov‘s “The Tsar’s Bride”.
Nana Dzidziguri attended master classes with Montserrat Caballé in Zaragoza, Mirella Freni and Enzo Dara in Modena, and in Tiflis with Badri Maisuradze and Paata Burchuladze. In 2016 she won the first Prize at the ‘Voci Verdiani’ International Singing Competition in Busseto and she is winner of the Premio Roma. She was also a finalist in the Montserrat Caballé Singing Competition and the International Singing Competition of the Accademia del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino at the Opera di Firenze.
The young mezzo-soprano started her career as an ensemble member of the Tbilisi State Opera, where she sang CARMEN, AMNERIS but also roles of Georgian national operas such as “Abesalom and Eteri” (as NAANA) and “Daisi” (as NANO) by the composer Sakaria Paliaschwili.
Her first engagement in Germany brought her to the Braunschweig State Theatre, where she could be seen as EBOLI in Verdi’s “Don Carlo”, GERTRUD in Humperdinck’s “Hänsel & Gretel”, FIRST VIRGIN in Strauss' “Elektra” and as MASCHA in Schostakowitsch’s “Tscherjomuschki” .
In the season 2018/19 she impressed as CARMEN and FREDERICA in the new production “Luisa Miller” at the Opera House Wuppertal and as CARMEN at the Festival Burgplatz Braunschweig. She also sang FREDERICA at the Detmold Theatre. She made her debut as ULRICA in “Un ballo in maschera” at the Theatre Neustrelitz and sang Dvorak’s STABAT MATER with the Neubrandenburg Philharmonic Orchestra.
At the Wiesbaden State Theatre, she succeeded as MADDALENA in “Rigoletto”. At the Osnabrück Theatre she succeeded as SOUFFRANCE in the German world premiere of Albéric Magnard’s “Guercoeur” and as MS QUICKLY in “Falstaff”. As ULRICA in “Un ballo in maschera” she was celebrated at the Verdi Festival of the Tbilisi national oper as well as in a gala concert at the Bolshoi Theatre Minsk and with the Filharmonii Podkarpackiej. Donizetti’s REQUIEM she sang at the Teatro Comunale in Modena.
