MILANA KOMAROVA graduated the Emīls Dārziņš Music School and the Riga Choreography School in 2008, and in 2013 received her bachelor’s degree and professional qualification in choreography from the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music. She has worked with the Latvian National Ballet since 2008. She has participated in master classes in Denmark, Italy, Sweden and the United States. In 2013 she was the recipient of the Spanish World Dance Movement scholarship. Her choreography has been included in numerous concert programmes: Possible ballet evenings, the Ballet Stars in Jūrmala festival and the International Baltic Ballet Competition Gala Concert.
Her one-act Closer to the Equator is included in Unkown Territories, and her choreographed Counting was included in the Latvian National Opera and Ballet Season’s Opening Gala Concert programme.
