VIKI BROMBERG PSIHOYOS, was accepted into George Balanchine's School of American Ballet at age eight, where she trained with the Master’s international team of teachers; Felia Doubrovska, Alexandra Danilova, Muriel Stuart, Helene Dudin, Antonina Tumkovsky, Andre Eglevsky, and Stanley Williams. Balanchine then invited Psihoyos to join the New York City Ballet at age 17.
Psihoyos performed for thirteen years, appearing in over 70 works by Balanchine, Robbins, and others. She appears in film and television works of The Cage, Four Temperaments, Midsummer Night’s Dream, Stravinsky Violin Concerto, Serenade, The Merry Widow, Chaconne, and others.
Psihoyos has been teaching widely since leaving the stage, on faculties and as a guest teacher for academies, universities and professional companies globally. She specializes in the refined technique and musicality that the Balanchine repertoire demands. She has taught, staged and choreographed in Florence, Budapest, Paris, Estonia, Trinidad, West Indies in addition to working with Orlando Ballet, Colorado Ballet, Ballet West, Cincinnati University, University of Western Michigan, Atlanta Ballet, Brigham Young University, Boulder Ballet and The Flint School of Performing Arts.
Psihoyos has also launched a Dance for Parkinsons Program in her native Colorado in 2013.
