Tenor Theodore Browne will debute on the stage of the Latvian National Opera in “La Cenerentola”

On January 27, tenor Theodore Browne will make his debute on the stage of the Latvian National Opera, singing the role of Don Ramiro in Gioachino Rossini opera “La Cenerentola”.

The wide-ranging repertoire of tenor Theodore Browne, includes works by Rossini, Mozart, Bach, Britten, Donizetti and Bellini. He has sung at Opernhaus Wuppertal, Wroclaw Opera, Innsbruck Tiroler Landestheater, Alte Oper Frankfurt, Rossini Opera Festival Pesaro, Sopot Summer Festival, Weilburg Castle Festival, Nymphenburg Castle and Rheingau Musik Festival among others. Theodore is the winner and laureate of several competitions, including the International Music Competition of the Cologne University of Music and Dance 2014, the National Singing Competition 2016, the International Ebe Stignani Competizione Imola 2018, the International Singing Competition Meistersinger von Nürnberg 2018 and the Queen Sonia International Music Competition 2019. Theodore Browne was born in Manchester (Great Britain) and grew up in Germany as the son of English and South African parents. He studies in Prof. Thomas Heyer's class at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts. Being vocally coached by Camilla Ueberschaer and Raina Kabaivanska, he has received further valuable input from Helmut Deutsch, Ernesto Palacio, Nayden Todorov and Eugen Wangler.

The title of “La Cenerentola” on January 27 will be interpreted by Svetlina Stoyanova, other roles will be sung by Krišjānis Norvelis, Rinalds Kandalincevs, Jūlija Vasiļjeva, Laura Grecka and Rihards Mačanovskis.
