The Three Osokins is a brand in the piano world – multi-talented virtuosos, piano pioneers and insightful artists, whose concert programmes are always a celebration and a special event for lovers of piano music.
Sergejs Osokins and his sons entered the world music arena with their unique piano play. The three Osokins are united by the revelation of deep, creative and virtuoso musical compositions. Each touch of the keys is thoughtful, heartfelt and transformed into subtle sound vibrations that reach listeners and reveal the nuanced sound of music. All three musicians of the Osokins dynasty have received the Grand Music Award – the highest award in the Latvian music industry. The Osokins have performed in Dzintari Concert Hall, the Latvian National Opera, as well as the other biggest Latvian concert halls. The “Three Osokins” concert was broadcast on the German internet television channel “Klassik.TV”. In 2018, the first Three Osokins studio album “Trīs Osokini latviešu klaviermūzikā” (Three Osokins in Latvian piano music) was released, dedicated to Latvia’s centenary.
This concert will be very special, as for the first time The Three Osokins will share the stage with their friends in music – world-renowned sisters Kristīne and Margarita Balanas, Jevgēnijs Čepoveckis, Dorottya Standi, Konstantīns Paturskis and Pēteris Trasuns. The spectators will hear passionate and colorful music of French composers Georges Bizet and Maurice Ravel, the monumental opuses by Modest Mussorgsky, the energetic Piano Trio by Sergei Rachmaninoff, as well as popular chamber music by Dmitri Shostakovich.
