One of today’s most distinguished opera singers, the French baritone Ludovic Tézier, will give his first solo concert in Latvia. On 4 November 2026, he will appear at the Latvian National Opera’s Great Hall together with the Latvian National Opera Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Lorenzo Passerini. The artist left an unforgettable impression on Latvian audiences in March of this year, when he performed the role of Amonasro in two performances of Giuseppe Verdi’s Aida alongside the Latvian opera stars Marina Rebeka and Elīna Garanča.
Ludovic Tézier is one of the leading baritones of his generation, whose noble timbre, flawless technique, musical intelligence and expressive dramatic power have earned him acclaim from audiences and critics around the world. He is a regular guest at the world’s leading opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Vienna State Opera, the Opéra National de Paris, La Scala in Milan, the Royal Opera House in London, and the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. He also appears at prestigious festivals, including Salzburg, Aix-en-Provence, Verona and Savonlinna.
Tézier has received particular acclaim for his roles in Giuseppe Verdi’s operas, including Macbeth, Rigoletto, Simon Boccanegra, Renato, Giorgio Germont and many others. At the same time, his repertoire encompasses a wide range of works by other composers, including the title roles in Hamlet and Eugene Onegin, as well as Wolfram, Scarpia, Amfortas and other striking roles. He regularly collaborates with the world’s leading conductors and is also a highly sought-after concert artist, performing with many of the finest orchestras in the world.
