To celebrate the 150th anniversary of prolific Latvian writers Rainis and Aspazija, we bring you The Sunny Corner – a concert featuring the music of Latvian composer Mārīte Dombrovska and her series of beautiful, yet rarely performed pieces set to Aspazija’s poetry. The concert programme will also include some of the best solo pieces by Latvian classical composers Jānis Mediņš and Alfrēds Kalniņš (also featuring Aspazija’s poetry) and instrumental interludes.
