For the first time in Latvia, the rising opera star and countertenor Maayan Licht will give a solo concert at the Latvian National Opera, appearing together with the chamber orchestra Davinspiro Camerata, led by Daniil Bulayev.

Maayan Licht is one of the brightest and most distinctive operatic voices of the new generation. His exceptionally rare sopranist voice astonishes with its dazzling upper register, virtuoso coloratura and refined musicality, allowing him to reveal the riches of the Baroque repertoire in full splendour. Internationally acclaimed, he has already appeared on major European stages, including the Dutch National Opera, Theater an der Wien, the Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival and Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, among others. He has won the top prize at the Vienna International Music Competition, as well as the 2025 Oper! Award in the Best Newcomer category. His vocal mastery, stage charisma and bold artistic personality place Maayan Licht among the most exciting young talents on today’s opera scene.

The chamber orchestra Davinspiro Camerata was founded by the talented violinist Daniil Bulayev. This ensemble of gifted young musicians affirms its musical identity by constantly seeking out new challenges.
