On 24 February at 8:30 PM, the Latvian National Opera will host Stand with Ukraine: A Strength Concert for Ukraine’s Defenders – a special evening where music becomes action and solidarity turns into real support.
The concert will bring together leading Latvian musicians – artists united by a shared sense of responsibility - who will use the power of music to help save lives. All proceeds from the event will be dedicated to supporting Ukrainian defenders by improving the evacuation of wounded soldiers from the front line, adapted to the realities of modern warfare.
The concert is organized by the Entrepreneurs for Peace Foundation in cooperation with the Latvian National Opera. The programme is conceived as a musical and documentary narrative, combining performances across genres with short addresses and authentic stories from the front line.
Performers include Sinfonietta Rīga, Uldis Marhilēvičs, Aleksandrs Antoņenko, Linda Leen, choir Maska, Reinis Zariņš, Kristīne Prauliņa and the Gospel Choir, Fiņķis, The Sound Poets, Rihards Zaļupe, Jānis Lūsēns, Aija Vītoliņa, Zigfrīds Muktupāvels, Kautkaili, Intars Busulis and the Abonnement Orchestra, Ivanna Catana, Raimonds Martinovs, Artūrs Čukurs, and Ansis Bētiņš. Additional artists will be announced.
