Soloist of the LNO Kristīne Gailīte has been recognised as one of the foremost Latvian opera voices. Her solo concert program will weave together music of the Latvian and French origin. Songs of Jānis Kalniņš will be interpreted to mark his 110^th jubilee, aside Maurice Ravel’s cycles Shéhérazade and 2 Mélodies hébraïques and poetry of Paul Verlaine, Stephan Mallarme and other outstanding Frenc poets, composed by Claude Debussy.
