Mezzo-soprano Ilona Bagele has established herself not only as a LNO soloist, but also as a colourful jazz and popular music interpreter. In her solo concerts, she will perform vocal music by the Argentine tango composer Astor Piazzolla.
The LNO's production recieved the Latvian Great Music Award 2012 as the best production of the year.
