INETA SIPUNOVA has graduated from the Latvian Academy of Art’s Department of Visual Communications with a Master’s degree. The artist has worked on theater and operetta productions, as well as puppet theater performances and the creation of historical interiors for films. She has collaborated long-term with Andrejs Žagars and scenographer Andris Freibergs, creating productions in Riga, Moscow, and St. Petersburg. Ineta Sipunova is the author of video projections for several operas staged by Alvis Hermanis, including Il Trovatore at the Salzburg Festival, Così fan tutte at Komische Oper Berlin, Jenůfa at La Monnaie in Brussels, and Parsifal at the Vienna State Opera, among others. Her video works have been exhibited in Riga, Ventspils, and Valmiera, as well as in France, Finland (Rauma Biennale), and Germany (Ars Novi Festival), among others. She has collaborated with stage directors such as Mārtiņš Eihe, Dž. Dž. Džilindžers, Ģirts Ēcis, Elīna Lihaceva, Mindaugas Karbauskis, Andrejs Žagars, Margo Zālīte, Juris Jonelis, and Mārtiņš Kagainis, among others.
