Stefan Bolliger

Lighting Designer

Stefan Bolliger, born 1968 in Zurich, Switzerland. He worked several years as a freelance lighting technician, before he started to work at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg in 1995. Between 1997 and 2006 he worked there as deputy head of the lighting department. From 2006 until 2010 he was engaged as head of the lighting department and lighting designer at the dramatic theatre of the Staatstheater Stuttgart.

He created lighting designs at the „Bayerische Staatsoper“ in Munich, the „Theater an der Wien“ in Vienna, the Salzburg Festival, the „Deutsche Oper“ in Berlin, the „Hamburgische Staatsoper“ in Hamburg, the „Semperoper“ in Dresden, the Theater Basel, the Vlaamse Opera in Antwerp and the New National Theatre in Tokyo.
