PHILIPPE BERTHOMÉ studied at the Ecole Superieure d’Art Dramatique du Théâtre National de Strasbourg. He has lit several theatre productions for Festival d’Avignon and Théâtre National de l’Odéon, including Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler by director Eric Lacascade with Isabelle Huppert a. o., and recently Se Trouver Pirandello with Emmanuelle Béart at the Théâtre National de la Colline. He has lit opera productions in collaboration with directors Stanislas Nordey and Jean-François Sivadier, and conductor Pierre Boulez a. o. at the Aix-en-Provence Festival, Théâtre du Châtelet, Staatsoper Hamburg, Opéra Bastille, Covent Garden, and Palais Garnier. He has collaborated with Jane Birkin in her tours enfants d’hiver and Jane in Japan.
