CLARA PELUFFO VALENTINI was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, studied Fashion Design specializing in costume design in Milan, and currently works in Barcelona as a Fashion and Costume Designer (and assistant) for fashion, as well as film, musicals, theatre, opera and advertising.
Her latest works in opera as Costume Designer include Vincenzo Bellini’s La Sonnambula for Teatro Real de Madrid (Director Barbara Lluch), Gioachino Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia for the Teatro Principal de Zaragoza (Dir. Leo Castaldi), El Rey que Rabió by Ruperto Chapí for the Teatro de la Zarzuela (Dir. Barbara Lluch), Le Palais enchanté by Luigi Rossi for the Opera National de Lorraine (Dir. Fabrice Murgia), Un Avvertimento ai Gelosi by Manuel García for El Palau de les Arts of Valencia (Dir. Barbara Lluch), and several productions of Vincent Boussard - Mignon for the Opera Royal de Wallonie, Les Contes D`Hofmann and Manon for Korea National Opera, Dialogues des Carmelites for Latvian National Opera, as the wardrobe assistant for the opera I Capuleti and I Montecchi (Designer Christian Lacroix, director Vincent Boussard) for Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet, among others. Her latest work in theatre has been at Teatro Clásico in Madrid, Teatre Lliure in Barcelona, at the National Theater of Catalonia, El Matadero de Madrid and Teatre Romea, working with directors Barbara Lluch, David Selvas and Julio Manrique.
