Myriam Lifka

Choreographer

Born and bred in Wiesbaden, Germany, MYRIAM LIFKA is choreographer for musical, opera and operetta. She has worked at Vereinigten Bühnen Krefeld/Mönchengladbach, the Hessian State Theatre Wiesbaden, the festival in Bad Vilbel (Burgfestival) and the German Opera at the Rhine (Düsseldorf/Duisburg). Directors she has worked with so far include Benedikt Borrmann, Andras Fricsay, Reinhardt Friese, Jan Käfer, Ingo Kerkhoff, Uwe Eric Laufenberg, Iris Limbarth, Robert Lehmeyer, Bernd Mottl, Gabriele Rech, Manuel Schmitt and Oliver Wronka.

Myriam Lifka has created choreographies for Musicals like Saturday Night Fever, La Cage Aux Folles, The Full Monty, Addams Family, American Idiot and My Fair Lady. Furthermore, her choreographic work includes operas such as Carmen, Jenufa, L’elisir d‘amore, Pique Dame and the acclaimed world premiere of Anna Nicole (Mark-Anthony Turnage / Richard Thomas) as well as dramas like Tabori’s Mein Kampf, Richard III, Pride and Prejudice, Forever Young and the Christmas productions Peter and Anneli’s Journey to the Moon and Arabian Nights.

She was in charge of the annual gala presentation dinner for the International May Festival at the Hessian State Theatre 2020 and directed as well as choreographed the open-air-spectacle of The Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Waggonhalle Marburg.

In Riga, Myriam Lifka designs the choreography for The Merry Widow, directed by Uwe Eric Laufenberg.
