GUNTIS SPRIDZĀNS is a graduate of the Latvian Academy of Culture, Contemporary Dance Dept., and Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music where he studied pedagogy. He works as a freelance choreographer, dancer, author and co-author of different projects, and actor. Guntis Spridzāns has created choreography for the productions of Daile Theatre, Valmiera Theatre, Riga Russian Theatre, different TV shows and performances, etc. He won the 2007 Latvian Theatre Prize for Best Choreography for the production of rock-opera The Chosen One at Daile Theatre. As a dancer, he has participated in both contemporary dance performances and drama and operetta productions. He has been a hip-hop dance teacher at Edmunds Veizāns Modern Dance Company and Latvian Academy of Culture, as well as dance instructor in festivals in Latvia and Mexico.
