Croatian set designer and sculptor BRANKO LEPEN (1957) graduated the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University of Zagreb, and worked in construction until 1989. He then joined the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, and today is the head of the theatrical production technique. As a sculptor, he has participated in more than 80 different exhibitions. His sculptures can be found in the collections of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rijeka, the Glyptotheque in Zagreb and the Modriaanhuis Collestion in Amersort (the Netherlands). Three of his sculptures are displayed publicly: at the Mladost sports centre, the Glyptotheque in Zagreb and the Civil Engineering high school in Čakovec.
