Tickets to the Riga Opera Festival and premiere of the opera “Adriana Lecouvreur” available from February 8
Tickets to the events of the Riga Opera Festival 2023 and premiere of the opera “Adriana Lecouvreur” will be available for purchase from February 8, 2023.
Riga Opera Festival will begin on June 9, 2023 with the premiere of the opera “Adriana Lecouvreur” by Francesco Cilea. The Opera was first performed in 1902 in Milan. This will be the third production of the title at the Latvian National Opera, this time created by the Music Director and Conductor Mārtiņš Ozoliņš and the Stage Director Vincent Boussard and his team from France. The following performances on “Adriana Lecouvreur” will take place on June 11 and 18.
The program of the Riga Opera Festival 2023 will include the new opera and ballet production of the Latvian National Opera and Ballet from season 2022/2023, including the operetta “Die Lustiga Witwe” (15.06.) and ballets “Serenade. Carmina Burana” (14.06.) and “Viy. The Nights of Horror” (16.06.).
The Festival, along with the whole season, will culminate with two Riga Opera Festival Gala Concerts: first one will take place at the open-air concert hall “Mītava” in Jelgava in June 20 and the final one at the Latvian National Opera in June 21. Tickets sales for the concert in Jelgava will be announced separately.
On June 2, evening of the classical and contemporary ballet “Possible…” will take place in the New Hall of the Latvian National Opera. Traditionally the event will showcase the young choreographers and dancers of the Latvian National Ballet for whom it is an opportunity to show their choreographies and try out new roles.
