The 3rd International Baltic Ballet competition will be held from 14th to 17th June in Riga. This year more than 70 dancers from 16 countries will compete in the competition. On 14th and 15th June Dailes Theatre will host the 3rd International Baltic Ballet competition, while competition’s Gala will be held on 17th June at the Latvian National Opera. All the winners of the competition will perform at the GALA concert along with the guest soloists. It will feature winners of the competition, as well as guests from the Berlin State Opera Ballet soloists Lisa Breuker, Uljana Tapor and Arshak Golumjan, the Dresden Semperoper Ballet soloists Courtney Richardson and Fabien Foranger, Kazan Ballet soloists Okawa Koi and Midori Terada, etc.
The aims of the competition are to discover new talents, develop the education within the discipline of choreography, preserve the traditions of the classical ballet, consummate the efforts in pedagogy, expand the creative collaboration internationally, and ensure the strengthening and exchange of cultural ties.

The competition is organized by Riga Choreography School and Latvian Ballet and Dance Guild, supported by the Latvian State Culture Capital Foundation, Riga City Council's Education, Culture and Sports Committee, the Mercure hotel in central Riga.
