Born in Shizuoka, Japan, RYOTA KITAI began his ballet training at the Shimura Ballet School in Asaka before continuing his studies at Tanz Akademie Zürich in Switzerland from 2016 to 2019. During his professional development, he worked with renowned teachers including Akos Sebestyen, Oliver Matz, Roberta Martins, Udo Kersten, Masahiro Shimura, and Yuko Shimura.
In 2019, he joined the Polish National Ballet in Warsaw as a dancer. He was promoted to Coryphée in 2020, Soloist in 2022, and First Soloist in 2023. In 2024, he received the Jan Kiepura Theatre Music Award for Best Male Classical Dancer in Poland.
