FABIO PALOMBO, born in 1982 in Germany, completed his ballet training at the John Cranko School in Stuttgart. Afterwards he joined the Ballet of the Deutsche Oper Berlin in 2003. Under the direction of Sylviane Bayard he danced in choreographies by Heinz Spoerli, Yourí Vamos, Angelin Preljocaj, Ray Barra and Uwe Scholz. From 2004 on he worked as part of Leipzig Ballet and danced in choreographies by Uwe Scholz, George Balanchine, Mauro Bigonzetti, John Cranko, Kenneth MacMillan, Glenn Tetley, Marco Goecke, Peter Schaufuss, and Yourí Vamos. Since 2012 Fabio has been working as a freelance balletmaster and choreographic assistant in Berlin and began staging Marco Goecke`s ballets. This gave him the opportunity to work with numerous ballet companies such as the ballet of the Bolschoi Theatre in Moscow, Russia, the Ballett Zürich, Switzerland, the Ballet of Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Germany and the Ballet of the Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Italy amongst others. He also was a ballet master and choreographic assistant for Goecke`s creation All long dem day for the State Ballet School Berlin, Germany. In 2016, Fabio was Goecke’s assistant for the creation of his Nijinski production at the Theaterhaus Stuttgart, Germany. In spring 2019, he took over the complete staging of the extended full length performance Nijinski for the Ballet Zürich, Switzerland, and later on for Marco Goecke`s company at the Hannover State Opera House, Germany and for the Ballet of the Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Italy. In 2021 he returned to Ballett Zürich to stage Almost blue.
