RÉMY BRÈS-FEUILLET is a holder of a law degree and a former student of accordion at the CRR of Avignon. Afterwards he studied lyric singing at the Conservatoire de Marseille, where he refined his vocal technique with Magali Damonte in Marseille and Mareike Schellenberger in Aix-en-Provence. He made his stage debut with the artistic team of the Théâtre des Calanques (Marseille), with whom he developed research around the countertenor voice and contemporary creation (shows: Les Mariés de l'Apocalypse, Entremets Entremots, La Porte d'Ensor, Barokko, etc.).
A member of Génération Opéra and Opéra Fuoco, and winner of the Young Artist Award at the Cesti-Wettbewerb 2021 of the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik, Rémy Brès-Feuillet quickly appeared on both national and international stages (Oper Leipzig, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Opéra de Paris, Opéra de Montpellier, Bayreuth Baroque, among others). He has collaborated with conductors such as Jean-Christophe Spinosi, Harry Bicket, Rinaldo Alessandrini, and Rubén Dubrovsky, as well as directors including Laurent Pelly, Damiano Michieletto, Serge Noyelle, Frédéric Fisbach, and Max Emanuel Cenčić.
Among his projects are the role of the Triad in Barokko in Perm (2017) and then at the Baltic House Festival in Saint Petersburg (2019); the role of Jupiter in La contessa de' Numi at the Théâtre National La Criée in Marseille (2021), and at the Festival de Namur (2021); Delio in L'amazzone corsara at the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik (2022); the role of Megacle in L'Olimpiade at the Beaune Festival with the Matheus Ensemble; and the role of Tolomeo in Giulio Cesare in Egitto at the Leipzig Opera with the Gewandhaus Orchestra.
Recently, the countertenor performed the role of Nireno in Giulio Cesare at the Paris National Opera, Tolomeo at the Rome Opera, and Megacle at the Nice Opera.
