Ieva Kepe

Soprano
IEVA KEPE graduated from the Latvian Academy of Music, class of Prof.Laima Andersone-Silāre (1990). She got further training in vocal masterclasses with Jan Adam in Bornholm, Denmark (1992), and Irina Gavrilovici (Austria).

She was a soloist of the Riga Musical Theatre (1989-1995), appeared in leading roles in Franz Lehar's, Emmerich Kalman's, and Imants Kalniņš' operettas and musicals. Ieva Kepe is a soloist of the Latvian National Opera since 1995.

In 1992, with the Latvian National Opera she performed the role of Frasquita in Bizet's opera Carmen at the Dreieich Festival in Germany. She has performed Puccini's Turandot in England, Ireland (1998) and Taiwan (2001), Frasquita in Taiwan (1999), and Strauss' Salome at the production of the Estonian National Opera Estonia.
