TATIANA MELNYCHENKO is renown for her interpretation of Abigaille role in Verdi’s opera Nabucco at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Opéra de Montréal, Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, Gran Teatre del Liceo in Barcelona and Royal Opera de Wallonie in Liege a.o. prominent opera houses, as well as at the Arena Di Verona (together with Plácido Domingo as Nabucco).
Tatiana Melnychenko has also performed the role of Lady Macbeth (Verdi’s opera Macbeth) at the Stadttheater Klagenfurt, the Greek National Opera and the Latvian National Opera. Her repertoire also includes roles such as Lisa (The Queen of Spades), Liù (Turandot), Tosca, Sister Angellica a.o. Artist has sang in several promenent concert halls in Berlin, Dortmund, Barcelona, Madrid, Düsseldorf, Odessa a.o.
The Russian soprano Tatiana Melnychenko began her artistic career in the Opera Theatre of Odessa. She has completed her training with renowned mezzo-soprano Teresa Berganza at the Queen Sofia School of Music in Madrid. The period from 1996 to 2005 was a time of great success for Tatiana at highly prestigious international singing competitions.
