Upon returning to the United States, Mr.Sepe performed his American professional debut as Rodolfo in Puccini's La Boheme with Opera Theater of Connecticut, a role that he has since reprised at Mississippi Opera. In the event of his overwhelming success with Rodolfo, the Opera Theater of Connecticut invited him to return in 2007 to sing Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly. 2007 also brought Mr.Sepe to the renowned Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia where he was featured as Alfredo in La Traviata, Donello in Respighi's La Fiamma, and Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor.
Sepe, a 2007 finalist in Placido Domingo's Operalia Competion, was recently awarded the first prize in the 2009 International Ritorna Vincitor Competion in Ercolano, Italy. Also in 2009 he won the first prize in the Teatro Borgatti di Cento Competion as well as second prize in the Ravello Festival Competition.
In 2008 Sepe made his professional European debut at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna in the role of Ruggero in Puccini's La Rondine conducted by Jose Cura and Mo.Roberto Polastri, a role he later reprised in Milan with the Orchestra Sinfonica Giuseppe Verdi conducted by Mo.Giuseppe Grazioli. In 2010 Mr.Sepe joined the Scuola dell'Opera at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna where he performed his first Don Jose in Carmen conducted by Mo.Michele Mariotti to great acclaim. Earlier the same year Sepe performed yet another Rodolfo at the Teatro Borgatti di Cento.
Upcoming engagements for Mr.Sepe include a concert of Neopolitan Song at the Rivafestival in Riva del Garda, Italy conducted by Mo.Marco Boemi and Mario Cavaradossi in Puccini's Tosca under the leadership of Mo.Alberto Veronesi.
