Polish bass Piotr Micinski started his professional career with the opera theatre of Lotz in Poland.
In the meanwhile he has performed with the major orchestras and opera houses in Poland (Warsaw, Krakow, and Breslau), as also in many European countries including Germany (Berlin, Saarbrücken, Stuttgart, Heilbronn, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Cologne, and Dresden), Austria (the Deutschlandsberg Opera Festival), Switzerland (Lüzern and Basel), France (Nantes and Strasbourg), on tour in Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxemburg (with the National Symphony Orchestra), Ireland (Belfast), and UK (Manchester).
His operatic repertoir consists of Sprecher in Die Zauberflöte, Leporello in Don Giovanni, Figaro in Le Nozze di Figaro, Frank in Die Fledermaus, Dulcamara in L'elisir d'amore, Raimondo in Lucia di Lammermoor, Lugano in Der Stein der Weisen, Gran Sacerdote in Nabucco, Giorgio in I Puritani, Sparafucile in Rigoletto, Il Re in Aida, Alfonso in Lucrezia Borgia, Claudius in Agrippina, among others.
Other engagements include Sagrestano in Tosca, Alfonso in Così fan tutte, Il Maestro in Cimarosa's in Il Maestro di Capella and Filiberto in Rossini's Il Signor Bruschino (Concertgebouw Amsterdam and Utrecht), the bass part in Haydn's Die Schöpfung (with Brabants Orkest), Climmia in Franz Biber's Arminio and Maestro in Salieri´s Prima la musica e poi le parole (both with Combattimento Consort Amsterdam), Frank in Die Fledermaus (Orkest van het Oosten, and Noord Nederlands Orkest), Bartolo in Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Maastricht), Schlendrian in Bach's Kaffeekantate (Riga, St. Petersburg, and Moscow), Omar in Weber's Abu Hassan (Radio Kamer Filharmonie), Uberto in Pergolesi's La serva padrona (Krakow), Don Magnifico in La Cenerentola (Enschede), and Bartolo in Il barbiere di Siviglia (Warsaw).
In the 2010/11 season Piotr Micinski performed Dulcamara in L'elisir d'amore (Maastricht), Strahlbursch in Schrecker's Irrelohe (Bonn), Bartolo in Il barbiere di Siviglia (Riga), among others.
In the 2011/12 he sang Der Lautsprecher in Ullmann's Der Keiser von Atlantis (Krakow), Dr Cajus in Die Lustigen Weibern von Windsor (Bonn), and again Bartolo in Il barbiere di Siviglia (Riga).
Recent and upcoming engagements include Pastor and Brock in The cunning little Vixen (Lyon), Leporello in Don Giovanni (St Moritz Festival, Basel, Switzerland) and Bach's Kaffeekantate (Leipzig, with Combattimento Consort Amsterdam), among others.
