Mlada Khudoley was born in Moscow andgraduated from the Russian Theatrical Academy Opera faculty in 1996, and trained at the Vienna Conservatoire. Since 1998 she is house soloist at the Mariinsky Theatre, St. Petersburg. In 2001, during the Mariinsky Theatre White Nights Festival, Mlada Khudoley received her big international break. She stared as Sieglinde in Die Walküre with Maestro Placido Domingo, conducted by Valery Gergiev. This performance was a stupendous success. After this performance Maestro Domingo presented Mlada with four contracts to sing in Washington DC Opera and Los Angeles Opera. Since that, she has sang at the opera houses of Palermo and Lisbon. In November 2006, Ms. Khudoley made her house debut at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London as Lisa in Pique Dame, conducted by Maestro Simon Bychkov. In 2007, Ms. Khudoley sang Tannhäuser with Maestro Seigi Ozawa, with Tokyo Opera Nomori, Japan. In November 2007, she made her Greek National Opera debut as Abigaille in Nabucco.
Ms. Khudoley has sung with Maestro Valery Gergiev and the Mariinsky Theatre at the Bolshoi, Moscow; Metropolitan Opera; Kennedy Center; Covent Garden, London; Seoul, Korea; Tel-Aviv, Israel; Baden Baden, Germany; Beijing, China; Birmingham, England and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Her repertoire includes Bellini’s Norma, Santuzza (Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana), Donna Anna, Donna Elvira (Mozart’s Don Giovanni), Manon (Puccini’s Manon Lescaut), Fevronia (Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Legend of the Invisible City of Kitezh), Strauss’ Salome (Salome) and Ariadne (Ariadne auf Naxos), Tchaikovsky’s Lisa (The Queen of Spades), Tatiana (Eugene Onegin), Verdi’s Lady Macbeth (Macbeth), Aida, Abigaile (Nabucco), Violetta (La traviata), Wagner’s Sieglinde (Die Walküre), Senta (Der Fliegende Holländer), Elisabeth (Tannhäuser) among others.
