Maxim Aksenov

MAXIM AKSENOV graduated from the Kazan State Conservatoire in 2005. He was a soloist with the Novosibirsk Theatre of Musical Comedy (2000-2001), the Novosibirsk State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet (2001-2003), and the Kazan Musa Dzhalil Theatre of Opera and Ballet (2003-2005).
 
He was invited to join the Mariinsky Opera Company in 2005 and made his debut as Vaudemont in a performance of Iolanta at the XIII International Stars of the White Nights Festival.
 
His repertoire includes Grigori (Mussorgsky's Boris Godunov), Lensky (Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin), Hermann, Chekalinsky (Tchaikovsky's The Queen of Spades), Ismaele (Verdi's Nabucco), Duke of Mantua (Verdi's Rigoletto), Alfredo (Verdi's La Traviata), Riccardo (Verdi's Un ballo in maschera), Rinuccio (Puccini's Gianni Schicchi), Remendado, José (Bizet's Carmen), Lykov (Rimsky-Korsakov's The Tsar's Bride), Nadir (Bizet's Les pêcheurs de perles), Roméo (Gounod's Roméo et Juliette).
