LAIMONAS PAUTIENIUS has studied at the Lithuanian Music Academy. In 1997, he made debut on the stage of the National Opera and Ballet Theatre of Lithuania (NOBTL) as Spoleta (Puccini's Tosca).
He performs also at the Kaunas Musical Theatre (since 1999), at the Klaipėda Musical Theatre (since 2000), becoming a regular guest at the Latvian National Opera and Estonian National Opera in 2004.
Among several annual and competition prizes awarded to Laimonas Pautienius, there is Lithuanian theatre award Christopher (in 2001 and 2004), and title of Lithuania's Opera Soloist of the Year (2003).
List of his roles include Don Giovanni, Yeletsky (Tchaikovsky's Queen of Spades), Belcore (Donizetti's L'Elisir d'amore), Giorgio Germont (Verdi's La Traviata), Mercutio (Gounod's Roméo et Juliette), Escamilio (Bizet's Carmen), as well as numerous popular operetta roles.
The singer has performed with Orchestra of the NOBTL, the National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra of Lithuania, given concerts in the USA, Germany, France, Sweden, Latvia and Estonia.
