Ieva Viluma graduated from the Jāzeps Mediņš Music College, class of Laila Grietēna and Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, class of Guri Antipov (1986-1991). Participant of the 31st International Music Seminar in Weimar (1990), further studies in Copenhagen with the Danish Prof. A. Orlovitz. Studied with Theodore Cuirdlea Coresi at the Vienna Opera studio (1993 – 1995). Participant of the 2nd International Seminar gala concert (Vienna, 1995). Appeared in the role of Lady Mackbeth in Verdi’s opera Macbeth staged at the Tallinn Opera Theatre Estonia. Masterclasses with Pio Bonfati, Irina Gavrilovici, A. Orlovic, Margarita Gruzdieva. A soloist at the LNO since 1995. In 1999 she establishes and heads the Mildas Brehmane-Štengele Foundation. Guest appearances in Great Britain, Austria, Estonia and Holland.
