Tenor Ferdinand von Bothmer studied musical theater direction and singing at the Vienna Music Academy. He has been a member of the ensemble of the Vienna Volksoper. His repertoire includes Tamino in Die Zauberflöte, Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni , Alfred in  Die Fledermaus , Duke  in Eine Nacht in Venedig, Almaviva in Il barbiere di Siviglia,  Max in Der Freischütz , Eric in Der fliegende Holländer,  and the title roles in Mozart's La Clemenza di Tito and Idomeneo , as well as in Rossini's Otello . a.o. Guest appearances , among others at the Vienna State Opera, the Zurich Opera , the Bavarian State Opera, Salzburg Feastival, in Nancy , Rome, Brussels, Tokyo, Stuttgart and Hamburg. At the Washington Opera and at La Scala he made ​​his debut as Jaquino in Fidelio.
