Akhmed Agadi

Akhmed Agadi is the Honoured Artist of Russia, People’s Artist of Tatarstan, winner of Russia’s Golden Mask Theatrical Award in the category Best Male Performance. He has appeared in productions by the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia, the Amsterdam Opera, the Royal Danish Opera, the Budapest Opera, the Opéra de Strasbourg, the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. Since 2005, he is the soloist of the Mariinsky Opera company.

In 1993, Akhmed Agadi graduated from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatoire and became a soloist with the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre in Moscow. In 2005, he made his debute in Mariinsky Opera company with the role of Rodolfo in La boheme. His repertoire at the Mariinsky Theatre includes Vaudémont in the concert version of Iolanta, Edgardo Ravenswood in Lucia di Lammermoor, Alfredo Germont in La Traviata, Gabriele Adorno in the concert version of Simon Boccanegra, Don Alvaro in La forza del destino, Duke of Mantua in Rigoletto, title role in Don Carlos, Radames in Aida, Rodolfo in La bohème, Mario Cavaradossi in Tosca, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, Calaf in Turandot, José in Carmen.
Also the singer performs the tenor roles in Beethoven’s Missa solemnis, Verdi’s Requiem, Mahler’s Eighth Symphony and Das Lied von der Erde and Rachmaninoff’s vocal-symphony poem The Bells.

Akhmed Agadi is a constant stage partner of Anna Netrebko, Maria Guleghina and other notable opera singers. Akhmed Agadi gives a lot of performances on a tour abroad. He performed in France, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Denmark, Austria, Belgium, Latvia, Argentina and Turkey. He was a guest of the Opera festivals in Nizhny Novgorod, Chisinau, and Saratov.
