The Latvian National Opera Choir concert God, Thy Earth is Aflame! under the baton of Aigars Meri will take place on the March 25. Participants of the concert: the LNO Choir, the LNO Orcherstra, the Professional Symphonic Band Riga, soloists Viesturs Jansons (tenor), Rihards Mačanovskis (bass), Maksims Beitāns (cello).

On the day of mourning when Latvia recalls the victims of deportation, the LNO Choir will perform the symbolic cantata God, Thy Earth is Aflame! by Latvian composer Lūcija Garūta, Svyati by Sir John Tavener, and Dixi by the Georgian composer Giya Kancheli.

The LNO Choir is praised not only by local audiences but also by foreign critics, who laud the choir as a unified and very compatible ensemble. The LNO Choir's main qualities today are its temperament, stage sense, and steady tone.
