Welcome to the guest performances of the Estonian National Opera on January 18-23 in Riga, Latvian National Opera.

In November 2009, the contract among three Baltic States opera theatres - Estonian National Opera, Latvian National Opera and Lithuanian State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre - was signed in Tallinn providing the regular guest performances in each of the theatres including three opera and two ballet performances. Idea of this collaboration came from the Estonian National Opera General Director Aivar Mäe.

In frames of the first guest performances, the Estonian National Opera offers to the Latvian audiences Prokofiev's The Love For Three Oranges (January 22), Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte (January 21 and 23) as well as the ballets The Three Musketeers (January 18) and La Sylphide (January 19).

Meanwhile, the Latvian National Opera and Latvian National Ballet will perform Giselle, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Eugene Onegin and Madama Butterfly in Tallinn.
