Ballet soloist Nozomi Miura debuts on the stage of LNO in "Coppélia"

The role of Swanilda in the Léo Delibes's ballet Coppélia on November 24, 2022 will be performed by a guest soloist Nozomi Miura. 

Nozomi Miura started her ballet career at the Iwata Ballet School in Japan; graduated from the Bolshoi Theater Academy in Moscow in 2013. After finishing the training she joined the Romanian National Ballet company; since 2018 she was a dancer of the Croatia National Theatre. Since season 2022/2023 Miura is a demi-soloist of the Slovak National Ballet. Her repertoire includes leading roles and solo parts in classical and neo-classical ballet productions, such as title roles in Giselle and Romeo and Juliet, Kitri in Don Quixote, Solveig and Ingrid in Peer Gynt, Gerda in The Snow Queen, pas de trois, Spanish dance and swans in Swan Lake, Swanilda in Coppelia, Clara in The Nutcracker, Esmeralda and Fleur de Lys in Esmaralda by V. Medvedev and S. Fecho, Tatiana in V. Medvedev’s Oneging, among others.

The role of Franz on November 24 will be performed by Kārlis Cīrulis, other cast: Ringolds Žigis, Laine Paiķe, Aleksandra Astreina, Aeden William Conefrey, Darius Florian Catana, Aleksandrs Osadčijs, Germans Ševčenko, Paulīna Druka and others.
