Auditions for the work positions in the Latvian National Opera Chorus (vacancies in all voice groups)

 

Requirements for the applicants:

-- secondary or higher music education;

-- work experience as a choir vocalist;

-- hight vocal and stage potential;

-- ability to work full-time in the LNOB Chorus.

 

Audition process:

-- Audition will be held in two open rounds. In the 1st round contestants must perform two arias with piano accompaniment (before the audition it will be possible to try out the prepared program; it is desirable to perform the prepared program with your own pianist, but if necessary pianist from the Opera can be provided); during the 2nd round contestants’ sight-reading skills and vocal abilities will be tested.

-- order of contestants’ performances will be determined by lot.

 

Repertoire of the audition:

-- Round 1: first aria (baroque, classicism), second aria (free choice);

-- Round 2: exscerpts from repertoire performances – sight-reading from page, voice (range) testing.

 

Auditions will take place on August 12, 2022, 12pm at the LNOB New Hall.
