Dainis Kalnačs

In 2023, tenor DAINIS KALNAČS graduated from the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, where he studied vocal art under the guidance of Roberts Hansons. He is currently continuing his studies in the master's program. He has honed his skills through masterclasses with Bo Rosenkull, Joseph Calleja, Cynthia Makris, and Algirdas Janutas.

Dainis Kalnačs is the 3rd place winner at the competition Ineses Galantes talanti in the vocal arts category and was a quarter-finalist at the Claudia Taev competition (2021). He won 1st place at the Rising Star competition (2019) and secured 3rd place in the Mozart Society's Duschek-Wettbewerbs Jugend im Gesang in Prague (2016).

Since the autumn 2023, Dainis Kalnačs is a soloist of the Latvian National Opera. His repertoire includes Don Ottavio in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's opera Don Giovanni, Paul de Sen-Brioche in Franz Lehár's operetta Die Lustige Witwe, and Abbé de Chazeuil in Francesco Cilea's opera Adriana Lecouvreur.

In the realm of opera, he has performed the role of Count Almaviva in Gioachino Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia, Ernesto in Gaetano Donizetti's Don Pasquale, Trovatore in Eugène d'Albert's Die Abreise, Baldo in Ottorino Respighi's Belfagor, Don Koloandro Pirolo in Giovanni Paisiello's La Molinara, Mercury in Jacques Offenbach's Orpheus in the Underworld. He has also taken part in the Operetta Theatre's concert program Musique d'amour and has performed in concerts in Latvia and Estonia.
