Jolanta Lubēja

Baleta soliste

JOLANTA LUBEJA was born in Latvia. Graduated from the Riga Choreography School in 2009 (class of Ludmila Vikanova) and is a member of The Latvian National Ballet from the same year.

Her awards include: Gold Medal at the Korea International Ballet Competition (2016), Bronze Medal at the International Baltic Ballet Competition (2013 & 2016), Bronze Medal at the Stora Daldansen International Competition (2008), the Maris Liepa Foundation Scholarship (2006, 2007, 2008) and she participated also at the Varna International Ballet Competition (2012). She was nominated for the Latvian Theatre Spelmanu Nakts Prize in 2016.


Her repertoire includes the roles of Giselle in Giselle, Odile and Pas de Trois in Swan Lake, Maria in Nutcracker, Gamzatti in La Bayadere, Annele in At the Blue Danube, Gulnara in Le Corsaire, Princess Badoura in Scheherazade, Zerlina in Don Juan, Zina in The Bright Stream, Hermia in A Midsummer Night´s Dream, Zara in Antonija #Silmaci, Lilac Fairy and Princess Florine in Sleeping Beauty, Lady of the Dryads in Don Quixote, Pas de Quatre in 4 Worlds 4 Elements, Kitty in Anna Karenina, Clemence in Raymonda, Columbine in Romeo and Juliet.

Jolanta Lubeja has performed in Italy, Spain, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Greece, Sweden, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, China, Israel and South Korea.
