Mezzo-soprano ANNA DANIK graduated in 2007 from the Royal Danish Academy of Music where, and from the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland. Danik started her career in 2006 as a dramatic soprano, singing a variety of important roles at the Finnish National Opera, Savonlinna Opera Festival, Rialto Theatre Copenhagen, Turku Music Festival, Berwaldhallen Festival, among others. In 2012 Ms. Danik switched to mezzo-soprano. Her 2014 debut as Eboli in Don Carlos at the Opera Chemnitz was received with enthusiasm among critics and public. Her roles include Wellgunde (Rheingold and Götterdämmerung), Schwertleite (Die Walküre), Klytämnestra (Elektra), Amneris (Aida), Emilia (Othello), Margret (Wozzeck) and Eva in world premiere opera Kain& Abel, among others. She has performed in opera theatres in Berlin, Karlsruhe, Helsinki, Turku, Milan, Copenhagen, Moscow, Zurich, and other. In addition to opera Anna Danik also focuses on concert performances - both in traditional and contemporary repertoire.
