DIDZIS JAUNZEMS is one of the most in-demand new generation architects in Latvia. He has studied and gained practical experience in Latvia, Norway and Italy; participated in architectural summer courses and workshops in the Netherlands, Finland, India, China and Switzerland, as well as competitions in Europe. He has gained immeasurable experience at leading international architectural firm OMA (Office for Metropolitan Architecture), working on nation-wide projects in France, Russia and the Middle East. Didzis Jaunzems was awarded the Annual Latvian Architecture Award in 2012, 2015 and 2022. As a set and stage designer, he has worked on various cultural events and projects – eight Grand Music Award ceremonies, grand dance performance Mūžīgais dzinējs (Perpetual Motion) at the XXVII Nationwide Latvian Song and XVII Dance Festival; concerts celebrating Latvia’s independence, The Nature Concerthall series, the dance spectacle Abas malas (Both Sides) in celebration of Latvia’s centenary, concert Dzimuši Latvijā (Born in Latvia), and many other. His debut at the The Latvian National Opera was the set design for the production of The Rake's Progress (2018). He was created set design also for operas at the Theater Basel, Theater St. Gallen, The Royal Danish Opera, Wiener Kammeroper, Wroclaw Opera, and others.
