LATVIJAS NACIONĀLĀ OPERA

In this corporation by composer Arturs Maskats and choreographer Krzysztof Pastor, based on the incredibly successful novel by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos, dramatic relations are played out and danced out in a series of balls, the symbol of great events in life. The passionate Marquise de Merteuil and the cold-blooded Vicomte de Valmont play dangerous gaumes with people and emotions in an arena of incredibly refi ned intrigues. The god-fearing Madame de Tourvel and the naļve youths Cécile de Volanges and Chevalier Danceny become their pawns. But the players have no idea that they will become hostages to their own emotions.
