Tours
LNO offers tours of the opera building – a unique architectural masterpiece of the 19th century. Our tour guides will lead you through the interior of the building and talk about the life and times of the opera.
Tours are conducted in Latvian, Russian, English, and German.

Minimum group size: 10
Individual excursions (for groups with less than ten people): Ls 35
Individual excursions for students: Ls 15

Richard Vagner and Riga
LNO offer musicologist Mikus Ceze led Richard Vagner and Riga tours - places where the composer lived, worked and visited.
Tours are conducted in Latvian and German.

Lukabuka
The selected books and design shop Lukabuka has opened its second branch at the Latvian National Opera. The shop is located in the box office building next to the City Canal in Riga, Aspazijas bulvaris 3. Lukabuka offers the music recordings, design objects, and books about set design, fashion, art, and architecture.
Before and after performance
- The opera is open to ticket-holders one hour before the beginning of the performance.
- The Administrationdoes not take any responsibility for personal items left in the cloakroom.
- After the third bell, ticket-holders will not be permitted to enter the hall. In case of late arrival, ticket-holders may watch the performance from the gallery of the second balcony.
- Feel free to visit the opera’s café Café Opera. Tables may be reserved for dining before the performance as well as during intermissions by calling 29228879.
- Flowers intended for cast members may be left with the ushers at the left side of the parterre, indicating the recipient. Flowers will be presented to the recipient on stage.
- Opera-glasses may be rented at the coat check.
- Management reserves the right to prohibit entry and evict persons under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- The pets are not allowed in the opera.
