Liene Kinča

Soprano

LIENE KINČA was educated by Margarita Gruzdeva. In 2006, she graduated from the Latvian Academy of Music, class of Sergejs Martinovs. She polished her professional skills with Irena Milkevičiute in Vilnius and Prof.Barbro Marklund-Pētersone. Liene Kinča continues her vocal training with Ingrid Kaizerfeld and David Jones.

In 2005, Liene Kinča made her debut as soloist of the LNO as Karolka in the production of Janaček's Jenufa.

Liene Kinča's repertoire includes roles such as Amelia (the revival of Verdi's Un ballo in maschera production, 2009), Foreign Princess (Dvorak's Rusalka), the title role in Puccini's Suor Angelica and Giorgetta in Il Tabarro. She has toured to Moscow and Hong Kong with the LNO Company and performed as Aksinya in Shostakovich's Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk.

Liene Kinča is working on her chamber music's program including songs by Mahler and Richard Strauss, which will be performed in a solo concert at the LNO's Dress Circle Hall in December 2010 and in her Germany tour.

Liene Kinča has recieved Latvijas Gāze Annual Opera Award as a Best Female Soloist (2011).
