Laura Grecka

LAURA GRECKA graduated from the Jāzeps Mediņš Riga Music High School, class of Kārlis Saržants, in 2005, and the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Acedemy of Music, class of Prof.Lilija Greidāne, in 2009. She continues her studies for Master degree with Prof.Lilija Greidāne. Laura Grecka is singing teacher at the Rida Dome Choir School. She regularly participates in the productions of the opera Studio Figaro under Prof.Viesturs Gailis, where she has performed such roles as Cherubino (Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro), Beppe (Mascagni's L'Amico Fritz), Fidalma (Cimarosa's Il matrimonio segreto), Ursula (Ore's Gunda), Asja (Mediņš's Vaidelote) a.o.

 

Her repertoire includes arias from the early music to verisma s well as chamber music by Latvian, Russian, German, and French composers, and contemporary music, for example, Diāna in Anitra Tumševica's chamber opera Red.
