Minsk born mezzo-soprano OKSANA VOLKOVA is currently a member of the Academy at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow.
Oksana has won many national and international singing competitions including the first prizes at the XXII International M. Glinka Competition and Antonin Dvorak International Competition.
Her repertoire includes Carmen title role, Prince Igor Konchakovna, Boris Godunov Marina Mnischek, Madama Butterfly Suzuki, The Tsar's Bride Lyubasha, Kashey the Immortal Kasheevna, Eugene Onegin Olga, Queen of Spades Polina, Nabucco Fenena and La Traviata Flora. In concert she has sung Mozart and Verdi Requiem, Bach Christmas Oratorio, Tchaikovsky's Cantata ‘Moscow' and Prokofiev Alexander Nevsky.
Her engagements in the 2011-12 Season include performances at Opera de Nice and the Bolshoi Theatre. Upcoming engagements include her debut at the Metropolitan Opera New York as Maddalena in Rigoletto.
