Tenor MIKHAIL MAKAROV graduated from the StPetersburg State Conservatory in 2001 (class of M.Egorov). In 2001, he joined the Mikhailovsky Opera Company. Since 2008 he has been guest soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre.

His repertory includes Canio (Pagliacci), Jose (Carmen), Cavaradossi (Tosca), Herman (The Queen of Spades), Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), Lykov (The Tsar's Bride), Alfredo (La traviata), Lensky (Eugene Onegin), The Imposter (Boris Godunov), Turiddu (Cavalleria rusticana), Ferrando (Così fan tutte), Mozart (Mozart and Salieri), the part of tenor of Mozart's Requiem etc.

Mikhail Makarov is a prize-winner at the All-Russian and Republican Singing Competitions.
